An Ottawa Wedding at Lago

This summer I had the pleasure to photograph yet another truly beautiful wedding. I began the big day by meeting Amanda at her place. When I walked in, there was quite a few people. The room was filled with the chatter of friends and family. Everyone was smiling and buzzing around the room to get organized. I immediately felt comfortable. They were so friendly and welcoming. What a great start to the day! After we finished there, we headed off to Lago, where we took some photos outside. Lago is a great wedding venue because it's on the water and the room that we had has floor to ceiling windows. I can't begin to tell you how exciting this is for a photographer! The ceremony was out on the balcony and was incredibly convenient and a beautiful. The ceremony itself was very touching because it was filled with laughter and a closeness that is so rare to see. I loved walking around the room asking for group shots because I don't think anyone refused. You could tell there were some really great friendships there. The food was fantastic, the service was great, the MC did an amazing job and the bride and groom fit so well together. I mean, what else can you ask for, right? :)
